lockfile-progs software package provides Programs for locking and unlocking files and mailboxes, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lockfile-progs
lockfile-progs is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lockfile-progs package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lockfile-progs *
You will get with lockfile-progs package name, version, architecture and description in a table
